The location was stunning and marvellous - walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. The room was spotlessly clean and reasonably spacious and equipped with great view and patio, for instance as described.
The views were not so great.

The best aspects of my stay were the stunning views and the peaceful atmosphere. The hotel is located in a key spot, offering beautiful ocean views from the rooms. It was such a delight to wake up every morning and see the sparkling sea right from my bed. the location provided a sense of tranquility and seclusion, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Adding to that, the friendly and knowledgeable staff made my stay even better, creating a cozy and relaxed atmosphere throughout the communal areas.
There were a few aspects that I didn't enjoy. the breakfast was quite underwhelming.

The location of the hotel was the biggest advantage, with beautiful views of the coast from the hill in the garden. Communal areas were well-maintained and had a serene vibe. the room amenities were thoughtful, including fresh fruit and water on arrival.
The bed was not comfortable, with pillows that were too soft.

The hotel's gardens are well-tended and beautiful, perfect for a relaxing stroll. the breakfast was diverse with a lot of homemade items and catering options for both vegans and vegetarians. the hotel is situated in an excellent location, perfect for exploring the natural wonders of the area.
Guests should be warned that the hotel is situated on a steep hill and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. some rooms may not have the best views and it might be difficult to enjoy the outdoors during bad weather.

Location is stunning, with beautiful views of the hills and the ocean. The rooms are well furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable and included a variety of pastries and fruits.
The staff were unapproachable and unhelpful, which made us feel unwelcome. It was hard to get any useful information from them.

The rooms at Atrio in Estreito Da Calheta are cozy and comfortable, with a lovely view over the courtyard. I can sit by the window and admire the courtyard's citrus trees, feeling a sense of tranquility. As a budget traveller, this room is my perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring.
Subjectively, for me, the only downside is that the view from the room overlooks the courtyard, instead of a scenic landscape. However, I understand that others might still find joy in the courtyard's greenery.

The hotel facilities, including the pool and breakfast area, were well-maintained. The staff was welcoming and attentive to my needs throughout my stay.
Nothing it is perfect.
